1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, class/grade, and target exam. When you use SolveGini, we collect the questions you submit (text or images), quiz responses, flashcard activity, and usage data (solve count, subjects studied, time of use).

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use SolveGini (pages visited, features used, session duration). Analytics cookies are only set after you grant consent via our cookie banner. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve SolveGini services, generate personalized quiz and flashcard content, track your study progress and streaks, send account-related notifications, and improve our AI models.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data transmission is encrypted using TLS. Uploaded images are processed for question extraction and are not shared with third parties. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

4. Data Retention

Your account data and solve history are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (authentication and database), Google AI / Gemini (question solving and content generation), Google Analytics (anonymous usage analytics — you can opt out via the cookie banner), Razorpay (payment processing for Pro plans), and Sentry (error monitoring). Each service processes only the minimum data required for its function.

6. Age Requirements & Children's Privacy

SolveGini is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users under 13 must have verifiable parental consent before using the service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old or have obtained parental consent to use SolveGini. This confirmation is captured at registration via the age-acknowledgement checkbox.

The Ask Gini AI assistant has an additional gate: users under 13 cannot access it until verified parental consent is recorded on the profile. Verification works by emailing the parent or guardian a single-use link (valid for 7 days) where they can review what Ask Gini does and either approve or decline. Approval, decline, the parent's email, and the timestamp are stored against the child's profile as an audit record.

Parents or guardians can revoke consent at any time by emailing support@solvegini.com from the address on file. Revocation immediately disables Ask Gini for that account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If we discover that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete that data promptly. If you believe we have collected information about a child under 13 without consent, please contact us immediately at the email below.

7. AI Study Assistant (Ask Gini)

SolveGini includes an AI-powered study assistant called Ask Gini. Ask Gini uses your study data — quiz scores, solved questions, flashcard progress, exam targets, streak — to suggest what you could practice next.

Important disclosures:

• Ask Gini is powered by AI and may provide inaccurate or incomplete responses. Always verify important academic information with a teacher.
• Ask Gini is not a substitute for a tutor, teacher, doctor, counsellor, or any other professional. It does not give medical, psychological, legal, or high-stakes personal advice.
• Conversations with Ask Gini are not permanently stored on our servers. The chat history shown in your bubble is held in your browser only and is cleared when you close it.
• The contents of your messages are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) so it can generate a reply. We do not share Ask Gini conversation contents with any other third party.
• For users under 18, we recommend that a parent or guardian is aware of this feature.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your data, and withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of SolveGini after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
